de Tocqueville on Bloggers


“They certainly are not great writers, but they speak their country’s language and they make themselves heard.”

Alexis de Tocqueville, the French aristocrat whose adventures in America were chronicled in his Democracy in America, may  have written this 150 years before Al Gore invented the Internet, but his sentiment is nonetheless an apt description of today’s blogosphere.
